Description

This course caters to aspiring cybersecurity professionals, equipping them with essential foundational cybersecurity concepts and fostering confidence in navigating intricate networking and security landscapes. It focuses on preparing students for the CompTIA Security+ exam by thoroughly exploring its core domains. Through integrated hands-on exercises, participants will solidify their understanding of Security+ exam topics, ensuring comprehensive preparation for certification and readiness to excel in diverse IT environments. All instructional materials and labs are included.

Prerequisites

IT Foundations (ITI519) or equivalent experience.

Objectives

  1. Configure and troubleshoot network protocol problems on network-attached devices. 

  2. Explain common network security threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. 

  3. Perform a risk assessment to determine an organization’s risk exposure. 

  4. Use the latest software tools to encrypt and decrypt data. 

  5. Compare and contrast the many different authentication services currently found in enterprise environments.
