Raptor Ready Scholarship Program

Montgomery College is providing a $1,000 tuition scholarship to Montgomery County residents who are spring 2026 graduates from a Montgomery County high school, and who register for and attend six credit hours in the fall 2026 semester at MC or fall courses in one of the selected Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs.
The $1,000 “Raptor Ready” Scholarship may only be applied to fall 2026 tuition and fees, and the application MUST be completed by August 3, 2026. The first 1,000 eligible applicants will be considered for the scholarship with all others added to a waitlist.
Students may also use the scholarship toward the tuition and fee cost of the selected Workforce Development and Continuing Education programs:
In order to get the scholarship, students need to:
- Be admitted to Montgomery College prior to applying for the Raptor Ready Scholarship;
- Register for and attend at least six credit hours this fall;
- Complete the Raptor Ready Scholarship application new window by August 3, 2026;
- Be one of the first 1,000 applicants; all others will be placed on a waitlist.
Student Requirements
- Be a spring 2026 Montgomery County high school graduate and a Montgomery County resident; home school and private high school graduation are included (proof of graduation and residency for all students are required);
- Be admitted to Montgomery College prior to applying for the Raptor Ready Scholarship;
- Complete the Raptor Ready Scholarship application new window by August 3, 2026;
- Register for and attend 6 credit hours in the fall 2026 semester at Montgomery College or fall courses in one of the WDCE programs listed above.
- The first eligible 1,000 applicants will be considered for the scholarship; all others will be placed on a wait list.
- Visiting students who attend other colleges and universities in fall 2026 are not eligible for the scholarship.
- A financial aid application (the Free Application for Federal Student Aid [FAFSA] or the MHEC One-App) is not required for this scholarship, but these and the MC Foundation Scholarship application are highly recommended for many other available financial aid awards.
Selection Process and Awards
- Selection is in order of application date and the eligibility determination.
- Students chosen for the awards will be held from the registration delete for nonpayment in fall 2026.
- The scholarship amount will be applied to students’ accounts for fall 2026 to pay for tuition and fees only.
- Students who receive other tuition and fee-restricted scholarships (such as Montgomery Scholars, Board of Trustees Scholars, MBI) can only receive the Raptor Ready scholarship for fall 2026 tuition and fees not covered by the other tuition scholarship.
