Student Government Association (SGA) and Activities Board

The SGA is an integral part of the college community and represents the student body to the college administration. The SGA provides an opportunity for students to address their concerns and take steps toward enhancing the college experience. It promotes the core values of the MC Community: equity and inclusion, excellence, integrity, innovation, adaptability, sustainability, and respect. The SGA supports student clubs, campus activities, and programs that benefit the student body.

The SGA’s primary responsibilities include addressing common student issues and above all enhancing student life during your academic career at Montgomery College.

You have the opportunity to shape your student government. As a student on the Rockville Campus, it is your responsibility to make sure your suggestions, comments, feedback and concerns are heard and clearly communicated. The SGA offers you the opportunity to do so and your participation will make a difference towards making your voice heard.

Note that a prospective candidate must participate in an interview with the members of SGA to be considered for a senator position. Candidates will be contacted for an interview during set times each semester. These are elected positions.  The deadline to apply is noted on the application.
